On Saturday (24.11.07) night at Hammersmith Apollo, London, the 'Rehab' singer disappointed her fans once more when she came 45 minutes late and slurred throughout her songs.
Amy Winehouse disappointed her fans even more on her third London gig. On Saturday (24.11.07) night, the troubled singer arrived 45 minutes late for her performance at Hammersmith Apollo, London. By the time she walked on stage, many of her fans have left and demanded ticket refunds.
According to reports, the singer slurred and mumbled all the way through her songs generated harsh criticism, expressed by booing, from many of her already irritated fans. Not determined to win her fans' sympathy back, in the middle of her performance, she walked off-stage. To make matter worse, while she sang her encore song, 'Valerie', she left the stage again, but this time she didn't bother to return. Reportedly, the 'Rehab' singer was late because she locked herself in her hotel room and refused to perform at the gig.
Following the Winehouse's unfavorable performance, many of her fans let out their disappointment on Winehouse's official website forum. One of her fans wrote down, "This was a tragedy of a gig. She should never have been allowed to perform," while another stated, "A shambles. I paid to see Amy, not some spaced-out girl wandering around." Another also added, "I have never seen so many people leave a gig early. Get help, Amy."
Aside from the disappointed fans, Winehouse's disturbed act also irritated her management. Mirror.co.uk reported that one of her assistant was overheard saying, "I can't take this any more. She's a nightmare!" Meanwhile, the tabloid also claimed that the relation between the British singer and her supporting band is breaking down since one member of Bryn Christopher's band said, "Amy always throws parties backstage but we're not allowed to go. It's hurtful."
