Reportedly, Pete Doherty was once again in trouble because of drugs. According to reports, on Sunday (02.12.07), the Babyshambles rocker was smacked by a drug dealer in the garden of the Sun Inn, Marlborough, Wiltshire.
Allegedly, the man came to Doherty stating that the troubled star should get his drugs from him. After saying that, he then knocked the 26-year-old rocker down. One witness said, "It was horrible. Pete was really shaken up and upset."
Following the incidents, Parlophone Records, Doherty's record label, confirmed the reports that Doherty was attacked by a stranger, but at the same time they discarded any connection of the assault with drugs. It was said that the police are currently investigating the matter.
On the other side of the story, it was reported that Doherty failed to perform with his band on the launch party of the NME Awards at the O2 Arena on December 6. The remaining member of his band who managed to come explained that their frontman was feeling unwell.
