Being reported that he has recently split from long-term girlfriend, Reena Hammer, Jonathan Rhys-Meyers raised questions over the real status of his relationship. The controversy arises after the 'August Rush' actor was spotted having dinner together with her on Monday (10.12.07).
According to JustJared.com, the recently rumored-to-be-split couple were spotted together when they were having dinner at the Indian restaurant, Benares in London. Allegedly, as they left the restaurant, the pair were seen holding hands. The 'Match Point' star was also seen drinking at the bar before walking out to smoke and collect money from the ATM.
Earlier, the British actor, who has trouble with his drinking habit, was reported to be left homeless after he split from Hammer. Later, the Daily Star reported that Rhys-Meyers is going to share an apartment with troubled rocker, Pete Doherty. A source told to the British tabloid, "Jonathan's mother died last month, leaving him heartbroken. Then his girlfriend split with him, forcing him to move out of her north London apartment."
The source then added, "Although Jonathan spends a lot of his time filming in Los Angeles these days he still needs somewhere to stay while working in London. Jonathan's friend knows that he has had a really rough time of it recently and that Pete has too. So he suggested Pete and Jonathan rent a place and help each other through their tough times. Jonathan thought it was a great idea and has started looking at flats in one plush block in east London."
