Thought of conspiring with her husband in the bribery plot,, the troubled singer has to face police' questions and if convicted, might sentence to life imprisonment.
Like her problems with drugs aren't enough,
Amy Winehouse is facing new kind of problems. According to reports, the 24-year-old British singer has to face police's questions following the thought that she was involved in her husband's alleged trial-rigging plot.
Reportedly, the 'Rehab' singer has been ordered to give her fingerprints and DNA samples, and also to present herself to detectives starting December 17 for the questioning. To British's tabloid, News of the World, a source from the police revealed, "This is a very significant development in the investigation."
If the police found the link between her and the conspiracy in which her husband was jailed, Winehouse may face life-sentence imprisonment. According to close friend, the troubled singer is very frightened with the thought of spending long time in prison and apart from her husband. The friend said, "Amy's had her problems but she's really terrified this time. She's teetering on the brink. She's already hatched a suicide pact with Blake. If they're both handed lengthy jail sentences she's determined they'll end it together rather than face years apart. She can't live without Blake. Her family are worried sick."
The suspicion that Winehouse was involved in the case rose after detectives found the claimed evidence. The proof was found in Winehouse's Camden house in north London when the police broke into the house to arrest her husband. That time police confiscated mobile phone records, bank details and computer software. A source said, "When police received their initial information the inquiry centred on Blake, his friend Brown and the original victim in the case. But after seizing a number of documents, it seems there is forensic evidence that may tie Amy directly to the plot."
The source then added, "When you think about it, as soon as the figure of 200,000 pounds emerged, the finger of suspicion started to point in her direction. How could Blake, who does precious little for a living, be expected to come up with that kind of money? And the fact officers also visited the offices of her accountants - respected firm who've handled Amy's books for years and represent quite a few musicians - shows that they want to be able to show exactly where her money goes and to whom. They want to account for every penny."
