Heather Mills Threatened by Divorce Lawyers

Hasn't paid Mishcon de Reya for their legal services, the former model is facing a court battle with the firm for over 2 million pounds of unpaid bill.

Words are circulating that Heather Mills is going to be sued by her divorce attorney for over 2 million pounds of unpaid bill. According to reports, the former wife of Paul McCartney was facing another court battle after Mishcon de Reya, the firm representing her in her divorce battle with her Beatle husband, is planning to issue a High Court writ to claim the bill.

The reason behind the lawsuit was though having an agreement to recover payment for its services contributed to Mills' final divorce settlement, the firm were still concern about Mills' ability to pay them. It was explained that Mills' debt was accumulated throughout the 18-month long period of her separation from McCartney. Further, it was also said that the firm feared that Mill's won't be able to pay them since she only gets enough to pay for her other debts.

To Daily Mail, a source said, "Heather has been told she has to make steps to clear the debt. She has been told that a writ is as good as on its way. Mishcon is acting as any business that is concerned about recovering a bad debt would. The firm worked tirelessly in difficult circumstances for Heather and it is now concerned it may not get its money." The source then added, "Mishcon is concerned that Heather could get a nominal settlement of a few million pounds. But because she has other debts to clear, there is a worry that Mishcon will be at the back of the queue."

Further, it was reported that the lawsuit threat has given advantage to McCartney as Mill's position weakened. The lawyers of 'The Beatles' legend believed that McCartney now can offer her a smaller settlement to cover her debt. In addition, reports stated that Mills' legal bill has been paid using an overdraft from Coutts bank, but because of the legal matter, Coutts is considering the account.
