Ballet Shoes was Beckham's Choice of Suit
Admitting that he had an extravagant taste for clothing, the former England football captain revealed that he preferred to wear knickerbockers, long socks and ballet shoes as a boy.
Famous for his exceptional sense of clothing, revealed that his taste for extravagant clothes started since he was young. The former England football captain let out the fact that he preferred to wear knickerbockers, long socks and ballet shoes as a young boy in an interview broadcast by BBC Radio 2 on December 25.

On the occasion, the 32-year-old soccer superstar honestly said that his family dispraised him for his taste back then. "My dad gave me a little bit of stick, but I was happy," confessed the L.A. Galaxy star. Prior to this interview, Beckham once admitted that he liked wearing women's clothes.

Earlier, Beckham's posh wife, , had said to British's broadcaster Michael Parkinson that Beckham occasionally wears her underwear and she has given him the nickname 'Golden Balls'. She also acknowledged his dress sense saying, "He walks around the kitchen going 'I'm a gay icon, they love me'. The thing is with David is that he doesn't care. He'll go out in his skirt and his bandana and he doesn't care what people say."

Besides talking about his unusual taste, Beckham also spoke about his son Brooklyn's football talents. In the interview, he praised his son saying, "He's got a great strike on him, a great right foot, and he kept the ball up 64 times. Eight years old, it's pretty good!". He also opened up about his relationship with Manchester United's manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, about him playing under Fabio Capello at Real Madrid and about scoring the winning penalty against Argentina in the 2002 World Cup.

Regarding the latter subject, he said, "For me, it was the best and biggest thing that I could've ever done in my career at that time. The moment the ball struck the back of the net, funnily enough, my mind went clear, everything that I was thinking, everything that I had gone through. I knew how much it meant for me to score that goal for my family, and of course for the fans, because the rivalry against Argentina is huge."
