Marking the turn of year 2008 with trouble, singer Lee Ryan has reportedly got arrested for an alleged attack toward a taxi driver in Oxted on New Year's Eve, December 31, 2007.
According to The Sun, the former member of famous British boy band Blue was traveling to a party in Surrey, England when he experienced a minor traffic accident. A source told the paper that though the crash was "nothing big", it made him lose his temper.
"A taxi driver got the brunt of it and then the law (police) turned up and nicked (arrested) Lee," the person informed. "He was stuck in a patrol car... it did not improve his mood and ruined his New Year's Eve."
Meanwhile, local police confirmed that they held a 24-year-old male on suspicion of assault and have released him on bail until February 2008.
"A 24-year-old man was arrested and taken to Reigate police station on December 31 following an incident in Westerham Road, Oxted," a spokesperson for Surrey police stated. "He has been released on police bail pending further inquiries."
