The British songstress has been cleared of any charges involving the bribery plot due to lack of evidence.
A breath of good air is flowing through
Amy Winehouse. The "Rehab" singer finally is cleared of any charges in relation to a bribery plot allegedly made by husband Blake Fielder-Civil concerning his assault case on a barman in June 2006.
Winehouse was initially suspected to be the one offering finance for the bribery and got "arrested by appointment" for formal interview and DNA test before being released on a bail last December. Charges against her, however, were ultimately dropped last week due to lack of evidence.
Fielder-Civil was accused of attacking James King at the Macbeth pub in Hoxton, London and causing the victim to have metal plates fitted in his face. He afterwards was claimed to try paying off King with $400,000 and a free holiday in return for withdrawing his statement.
