Rolling out his annual list of the worst-dressed celebrities for the forty-eighth time, Mr. Blackwell has picked up Spice Girls member Victoria Adams to be his No.1 choice for the list released Tuesday, January 8, 2008.
"Forget the fashion spice, wearing a skirt would suffice! In one skinny-mini monstrosity after another, pouty 'Posh' can really wreck-em," he said in a statement.
Adams was followed by "Rehab" singer Amy Winehouse on the second spot, whom Blackwell stated to be "part 50's carhop horror." The third went to former child star Mary-Kate Olsen, being deemed by the style maven to resemble "a tattered toothpick trapped in a hurricane."
Black Eyed Peas' Fergie aka Stacy Ferguson came next with a comment "Yes, when it comes to couture chaos, guess it's all in a name!" The rest of names listed in order up to number ten were first Idol winner Kelly Clarkson, actress Eva Green, singer Avril Lavigne, pop sensation Jessica Simpson, "Mean Girls" star Lindsay Lohan, and comedienne Alison Arngrim.
Amid the fashion attack, Blackwell also unveiled his selection on some well-known figures who managed to look good in his Fabulous Fashion Independents list. Included in it were Reese Witherspoon, Beyonce Knowles, Angelina Jolie, Helen Mirren, and Nicole Kidman as well as Queen Elizabeth II who, according to him, "managed to update her Stonehenge of Style image."
