Spotted dating for few months, rocker John Mayer and girlfriend Minka Kelly have quietly ended their romantic relationship, People.com has revealed.
According to the site, the pair actually broke up over a month ago, but still remain close to each other. Kelly was noticed to show her support for Mayer at his December concert in Los Angeles, then found having breakfast and drinks together with him days later.
"Minka told a couple friends that she and John had broken up but she really didn't want to tell anyone," a friend of Kelly said as quoted by People.
Mayer and Kelly began seeing each other in September 2007, several months after the former's split from pop singer Jessica Simpson. They were caught to dine together couple of times while also met up with Chris Ivery and Ellen Pompeo at a Knicks game in New York in November.
