Adding new member in her happy family, famed singer Christina Aguilera gave birth to her first child with husband Jordan Bratman on Friday, January 11, 2008.
The baby reportedly was delivered at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles with the couple announcing the birth in a quick text message to friends and family around 4 P.M..
"Baby has arrived. Mom and dad are doing well!" so the message read.
Further details on the joyful tidbit were not immediately available, but Aguilera's representative has given assurance to bring them up, saying to E! Online "As soon as I have more information I will let you know."
Aguilera and Bratman exchanged their marriage vows in November 19, 2005, in the Napa Valley after three years of dating. The former's pregnancy, despite an ever-expanding midriff, was not officially confirmed until November 4, 2007, during which she finally told Glamour magazine in an interview that she would "enter into mommyhood" sometime in 2008.
UPDATE 01/14/2008: Aguilera announced on her Sunday, January 13, 2008 that the baby is a boy and was born on Saturday night (Jan. 12), not on Friday (Jan. 11) as previously reported, weighing 6 pounds, 2 ounces.
"Christina Aguilera and Jordan Bratman are proud to announce the birth of their son Max Liron Bratman," the brief message said. "He is a beautiful, healthy baby boy."
