Amid the anticipation for her latest starring vehicle "The Hottie and the Nottie" to hit theaters on February 8, 2008, Paris Hilton has been announced to be the honoree of Harvard University's Harvard Lampoon "Woman of the Year" award.
The hotel heiress will be bestowed the trophy on February 6, 2008 accompanied by a large public ceremony in the middle of Harvard Square. She is also expected to deliver an acceptance speech and speak publicly to the university's student body.
Founded in 1876, Harvard Lampoon is known as a noted comedy magazine of the prestigious university, established in 1636 by the colonial Massachusetts legislature. The Lampoon has many accomplished alumni that include Conan O'Brien, John Updike, and William Randolph Hearst while is responsible for the creation of the National Lampoon.
In related news about Hilton, the beauty in contrast is reportedly considered to be not a proper poster girl for Proseco white sparkling wine though she has already posed for the Rich Prosecco advertising campaign, being nude and covered in gold paint.
"Hilton hotels are a sign of quality; Paris Hilton is not," said Fulvio Brunetta, president of the wine growers association of Treviso, the northern Italian city in the Veneto region where Prosecco is made. "Paris Hilton is sensationalism. It's not good. It's not adequate for Prosecco. "
