Vanessa Hudgens Ended Legal Battle Against Former Attorney

The 19-year-old beauty has reached settlement with Brian L. Schall over his lawsuit alleging her for beach of contract and unjust enrichment.

While boyfriend Zac Efron underwent his appendectomy on Tuesday (Jan. 15), Vannessa Hudgens appeared to be busy with her own business on the same day.

The 19-year-old turned out to have settled a lawsuit against her placed by her former attorney Brian L. Schall last September for beach of contract and unjust enrichment. E! Online reported that following a court hearing on January 15, 2008, the two parties, however, have come to an agreement over the issue though terms of the settlement were undisclosed.

Schall previously was noted to claim Hudgens owed him over $150,000 in back commissions after he helped her score songwriting and recording deals that netted her over $5 million. The man further also alleged that the star agreed to pay him five percent of her gross earnings from the deals after she signed to him in October 2005 as well as keep paying him up until twelve months after their lawyer-client relationship had ended.

Hudgens later countered that Schall's work was "below professional standard" while stating she was only 16 at the time of signing the contract with him, thereby being too young to hold such legal weight. In her response, she included a copy of her birth certificate alongside that of an October 9, 2007 letter she sent him to, which officially negated their contract.
