Oscar winner Gwyneth Paltrow was admitted to a hospital in New York on Monday afternoon (Jan. 14) for reasons unknown, but only stayed overnight and now is reportedly resting at her home in the city.
Usmagazine.com reported that the actress checked into New York's Mount Sinai Hospital accompanied by husband Chris Martin, known as the frontman of English rock band Coldplay.
"She was slumped over in a wheelchair pushed by [husband] Chris Martin," an eyewitness told the site. "She looked not well."
The "Shakespeare in Love" star later had a bag labeled "Gwyneth Martin" from NYC organic home supply store Organics Avenue delivered around 6:30 P.M.. The couple's publicist Stephen Huvane, however, confirmed that Paltrow only spent a night there and left the medical center on the next day, Tuesday, January 15, 2008.
Though assured E! Online that "Everything is fine - she is back at home", Huvane refused to further discuss her reported illness, stating "We are not commenting on the reason for her hospitalization, as it is personal."
