Young Actor Brad Renfro Found Dead at Home
Recently completed filming his latest starring vehicle "", actor Brad Renfro was shockingly found dead on Tuesday, January 15, 2008 in his Los Angeles apartment, where he had reportedly been drinking with friends on the evening before his death.

Renfro was pronounced dead at 9 A.M. by chief investigator for the Los Angeles County coroner's office Craig Harvey. Reports said that the 25-year-old was heard snoring overnight, but found not breathing later Tuesday morning.

The cause of death is still unclear, but an autopsy could be carried out as early as Wednesday, January 16, 2008, Harvey said. However, the man noted that drug overdose is a "possibility considering his history."

"...Right now all we have is the history of his drinking the previous night," Harvey remarked. "All that we have is that he was last known to be alive during the morning hours and he was snoring."

Renfro's lawyer Richard Kaplan, in the meantime, said he did not know whether the death was connected to any problems with addiction.

"He was working hard on his sobriety," he said. "He was doing well. He was a nice person."

A native of Knoxville, Tennessee, Renfro soared to popularity after appearing in 1994's "The Client", which was also his acting debut. His seemingly bright career, however, rapidly faded as he later often got involved in criminal cases dealing with drugs and alcohol, even spent ten days in jail in May 2006 after pleading no contest to driving while intoxicated and guilty to attempted possession of heroin.
