According to the singer's father, husband Blake Fielder-Civil has threatened to issue divorce proceedings during a recent row with her.
A crack apparently has surfaced on
Amy Winehouse's marriage boat.
The British songstress' husband Blake Fielder-Civil, who has been serving his jail time since November, reportedly is threatening to divorce her. Father of the "Rehab" singer, Mitch Winehouse, has claimed his son-in-law said he was ready to end their knot during a recent dispute with the 24-year-old.
"Blake threatened to issue divorce proceedings when they were having a row," he informed Grazia magazine.
Fielder-Civil, as Winehouse's father assumed, has got encouragement from his mother Georgette Civil to seek for a legal split and cut his wife out of his life.
"Unfortunately, Blake is influenced by things his mother has said," Mitch Winehouse further remarked. "I think Georgette wants them to divorce, but it's up to them."
Some friends of the pair, in the meantime, also expressed their agreement that Winehouse's marriage is looking likely to collapse.
"The Blake and Amy situation is imploding," says a friend of the couple. "Blake has been listening to his mother, and he's been hot and cold with Amy when they do meet."
But Winehouse, according to dad, still wants to keep Fielder-Civil by her side under any circumstances.
"From Amy's point of view, she would stick by him not matter what," the man said. "But he has said things like, 'I want a divorce'."
