Jessica Simpson Mad Over Mag Article Stating Tony Romo Ditching Her

Messing with Jessica Simpson means big trouble and that's what OK! Magazine has to face.

The pop sensation apparently got pissed off at an article from the magazine claiming she has been dumped by boyfriend Tony Romo and called her lawyers to send a letter demanding a "prominent and unambiguous" retraction plus an issue of apology.

Report brought by TMZ.com informed that the weekly apparently wrote an article titled "Jessica Dumped!" for its February 4 issue saying Simpson got ditched by Romo after his team was eliminated from the NFL playoffs. Further, it also states her celebrity sister Ashlee Simpson has attempted to "distance herself" from her.

In a formal letter sent to OK!'s Editor-in-Chief Sarah Ivens, Simpson's legal team deems the article is "utterly false" and "based on nothing more than rumor, gossip and innuendo." Insisting that their client and Romo are still together and that Simpson sisters remain close, the attorneys further accuse the news item reflects a "smear campaign" and has subjected the "Irresistible" hit-maker to "public contempt, ridicule, aversion or disgrace."
