The Hip-hop star is facing a copyright infringement lawsuit which claims his single "Get Back" is a stolen material from a track by the Boogiii Men.
The line of rapper forced to engage in legal battle is getting longer as
Ludacris has become the latest one hit with a copyright infringement lawsuit, filed by a trio of Pennsylvania-based producers called the Boogiii Men.
The producers - Damon 'Damethegreat' Mayfield, Markus 'Vincent' Vick, and Anthony Turner - allege the Grammy Award-winning artist for stealing one of their tracks and submitting it on his 2004 album "Red Light District."
In the legal papers filed in U.S. District Court in Philadelphia, the trio believe there are major similarities between Ludacris' single "Get Back" and their demo CD "Boogiii Men Beats Volume I" that they sent to the Hip-hop MC's music label Disturbing Tha Peace back in 2004. The threesome further insist all of their follow-up calls to the company were met with lukewarm response whereas they never received credits on "Red Light District."
Damages sought by the Boogii Men, however, were undisclosed with the law firm representing the producing trio declining to give any comments. Meanwhile, representatives for Ludacris, real name Christopher Bridges, could not be reached for comment.
