The highly-publicized of Lindsay Lohan's Friday night out (Jan. 25) in New York with reality TV star Brody Jenner has gone into another chapter as words have it that the 21-year-old fell of the wagon again in her battle against alcohol addiction during the time.

The Hollywood starlet allegedly downed "at least two" vodka cocktails at the city's famous club Beatrice Inn and gulped another at The Box while partying with Jenner and her other companions that included shipping heir Stavros Niarchos and DJ Samantha Ronson.

"Lindsay took a swig of vodka from a bottle of Grey Goose," a witness at the latter spot told the New York Post. "She was trying to keep a low profile and covering her face."

The actress' friends, however, have come up to defend her against the reports, insisting she is in control of her drinking.

"Lindsay is learning how to work through her addictions and, once in a while, she chooses to have a cocktail," one of the pals told the New York Daily News. "People over-exaggerate her behavior when in fact on Friday night, many people commented to her on how composed she was."

Lohan was noted to check into rehab at Utah's Cirque Lodge last year after being sentenced to serve 24 hours in jail plus a three-year probation for her DUI case. She, however, was caught drinking champagne in Italy on New Year's Eve yet her lawyer said that she quickly "got herself back on track."
