No access granted yet for Foxy Brown to step outside jail. A judge at the New York State Supreme Court has turned down the rapper's request for an early release from jail to undergo an ear examination and have a possible repair of a troublesome cochlear implant.
The 29-year-old, real name Inga Marchand, previously was noted to come up with petition asking to be released early from Riker's Island prison in New York in order to enter a Los Angeles clinic for a treatment on her hearing problem which she said to get worsen in jail.
Brown's attorney Laura Dilimetin at that time argued that the "Chyna Doll" artist required the service of specialists at the Los Angeles House Clinic, where she initially received treatment for the hearing loss.
"I am terrified of not hearing a fire alarm go off, or being locked in a cell and someone not being kind enough to let me out, since not everyone understands the severity of my condition," Brown's petition read.
State Supreme Court Justice Melissa Jackson, however, has ruled that the Hip-hop MC
is not allowed to leave New York for the medical attention and could get the treatment she needs in the state instead of Los Angeles.
Brown has been put behind bars since last September following a one-year jail sentence she received for violating probation in a highly-publicized assault case. She pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault on two manicurists at a Manhattan nail salon back in August 2004.
