The singer is claimed by a Las Vegas fashion consultant named Nancy Rosu to have not yet paid clothing purchases she made since August 2007.
Still afflicted with problems in her life,
Britney Spears now is facing a lawsuit from a Las Vegas wardrobe consultant alleging her for not paying clothing bills.
According to legal papers filed on January 18, 2008 to Clark County District Court in Nevada , Nancy Rosu has been employed by Spears since August 2006 to purchase and ship clothes on her behalf with an agreement to pay her back. The troubled pop star, however, stopped paying Rosu since August 2007, leaving an estimated debt of $30,000 to $40,000.
To Rosu's dismay, attempts to reach Spears' personal assistants and accountants for about two months proved unsuccessful as no compensation was made, the stylist's attorney Natricia Tricano said.
Suing Spears for breach of contract and intentional infliction of emotional distress while seeking over $50,000 in damages, Rosu in contrast still has intention to continue her professional relationship with the singer, though.
"There's no ill will or hard feelings," Tricano told ReviewJournal.com. "I know she's (Spears) got a lot of things going on in her life."
In related news, Spears is reported to have bought a new home worth $6 million in California. A Spanish-style seafront house located in Hermosa Beach, California, the mansion is said to have four bedrooms, four bathrooms, a media room, a pool, a spa, and a pub.
"Britney's new pad is luxurious and she got it for about $2.5 million less that its asking price," a source told the National Enquirer.
