Sources confirmed that the deceased actor took drugs with them and has been addicted to heroine, sleeping pills and cocaine for a year.
Mystery surrounding the cause of
Heath Ledger's death has led to another speculation that the actor has suffered from an addiction to sleeping pills. MTV News reported that a source "close to the situation" confirmed the actor's battle against the medication that can be fatal when consumed in large amount.
Other reports said that Ledger was also addicted to heroin and cocaine for a year, the reason why ex-fiancee
Michelle Williams left him at the first place. Williams, who has one daughter with the deceased actor, allegedly was exasperated and "couldn't handle it anymore" when she saw Ledger disappearing for days and came back home looking awful. Williams then, reportedly decided to kick him out of the house for good before at first failed to persuade him to go to rehab.
"I think he had not realized that it would all go crazy, that so many people would want a piece of him. Heroin became part of his life. He would go to parties and do drugs. But Michelle did not like his friends and gave him an ultimatum, threatening to deprive him of the custody of their daughter. Once you go down that road it becomes a nightmare," said a source who claimed he took drugs with the actor.
When Ledger was found dead on his apartment on January 22, police speculated that he might have died of accidental overdose because several prescription pills have scattered all around his naked body. A toxicology report is still being done and result should have come out in a few weeks.
