The "Ghost Rider" beauty Eva Mendes has been reported to be checking herself to a rehab center where Lindsay Lohan's treated for her addiction last year. Reports stated that the 33-year-old has admitted herself into Utah's Cirque Lodge and has been in the facility for several weeks. Allegedly, she went to the center to deal with her substance-abuse problems.
To People, the representative to the co-star of Will Smith in "Hitch" explained, "Eva has been working hard for the past year and made a positive decision to take some much-needed time off to proactively attend to some personal issues that, while not critical, she felt deserved some outside professional support." The rep refused to give further details citing, "Out of respect for Eva's privacy, we do not wish to discuss further details."
Earlier, at the last year's Cannes Film Festival, the Cuban-American actress revealed that she needs booze to help her go through the steamy sex scene with Joaquin Phoenix in "We Own the Night" saying, "I wasn't comfortable at all. They were very sweet and they poured me a vodka and orange juice and then I was fine." Then, she added, "I'm very professional and I don't usually drink on the job but that morning I had a little vodka and OJ."
The rehab news came on the same day that the "Training Day" star was reported to be the new face of Calvin Klein Fragrances. CNN Money reported that on February 1, Calvin Klein, Inc. announced that the previous spokesperson for Revlon will be featured in an upcoming Calvin Klein Fragrances advertising campaign, which will debut Fall 2008. She is joining the previous actresses and models affiliated with the products that include Kate Moss, Scarlett Johansson, Christy Turlington and Natalia Vodianova.
