Announcing that she will only appear in one of MTV VMA's versions, the 'Freaky Friday' star started a bidding war between MTV Australia and Russia.
Though many thought that her star may not be as bright as it used to be following her troubled reputation and bad box office sales,
Lindsay Lohan proved them wrong as she became the only star to be fought over by MTV internals. Reportedly, the rehab darling has caused a bidding war between MTV bosses in Russia and Australia over her appearance.
Sources reported the contest between the two branch arose after Lohan announced that she will make an appearance at only one of the upcoming Video Music Awards. Whether she is to appear in the Australian MTV VMA held on April 27 or the Russian VMA held a week afterwards has been left to the networks to work it out.
It is reported that the bosses of MTV Australia is currently in talks with the management of the 21-year-old actress/pop singer to persuade the star in being their guest of honor. However, their efforts were followed closely by the Russian executives. A spokesperson of the MTV Australia revealed, "We're in negotiations with Lindsay's people but it's a money battle at the moment with MTV Russia."
