In his effort to urge young people to participate in the U.S. Super Tuesday, Sean "P. Diddy" Combs has posted a video on his YouTube channel. Unlike four years ago when he let out the bold slogan "Vote or Die", in this less-than-two-minutes video, the rapper/music mogul let out his message to young Americans to simply vote for their future.
In the footage, the 38-year-old hip-hop entertainer dropped to his knees begging the young people to take participation in the primaries that will help determine the eventual Democratic and Republican nominees for president, especially the Super Tuesday's primary held on February 5. The end of his message noted down, "The future is yours...Please Vote." The video message can be seen below.
Aside from posting the YouTube video, Diddy also spoke to The Associated Press in a telephone interview on Monday, February 4. On the interview, he said, "If we want to stop the war, if we want to get the economy better, I think that young people need to understand they have to take matters into their own hands." Believing that the key factor in the presidential election lays on the hands of the young people, he stated, "The seeds that we planted in '04 are now coming to fruition. A lot of young people have decided that this is their future. This president is going to decide their future." Meanwhile, though still refusing to endorse a particular candidate, he expressed his thought of this year's candidates saying,"To have an African-American man and a woman in, it's going to go down in history as the most historical election," he said. "And I think that young people will have a hand in the result."
