The Britney Spears saga continues with the revelation that the pop star was hospitalized last week because her so-called best friend and occasional manager Sam Lutfi had drugged her. In a sworn declaration, Britney's mom, Lynne recounts the story leading to her daughter being hospitalized on January 31.
The statement that was released on Tuesday, February 5 among others describe how Lutfi had taken control of Britney's life that she appeared to be confused and distraught. Lynne revealed how Lutfi had "disposed all of the phone charges and had made all the house phones unworkable" and allegedly yelled at her daughter saying that she was an "unfit mother, a piece of trash and a whore".
Lynne further explained in the statement: "Mr. Lutfi drugged Britney. He has cut Britney's home phone line and removed her cell-phone chargers. He yells at her. He claims to control everything - Britney's business manager, her attorneys and security guards at the gate." And with that Lynne requests for an extended restraining order again Lutfi who had been ordered to stay away from the pop star for 22 days.
On the impact of Lutfi's control over Britney, Lynne said that Britney "became very agitated and could not stop moving. She cleaned the house. She changed her clothes many times. She also changed her dogs' clothes many times. Britney spoke to me in a tone and with the level of understanding of a very young girl."
Lynne and husband Jamie traveled to Britney's L.A. mansion on Monday, January 28 after hearing that Britney had a huge row with Lutfi that left her crying. The full written statement can be read here.
On the other side, Lutfi had previously said that he had "no respect" for Britney's family saying that all they care about is image and money. Britney is currently undergoing psychological examination at UCLA Medical center.
