Spotted not buckling up in her 3-D concert movie, Miley Cyrus and her father are deemed not good role models for their fans.
Consumer Reports spotted a flaw in
Miley Cyrus' new movie "Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert". The magazine said in its blog that the teen craze may not be a good role model after all after seen in the film riding with no seat belt on.
Miley, like many kids in the States, did not buckle up when she rode in the backseat of a Range Rover, neither did her father,
Billy Ray Cyrus. "It seems to us that Miley, her father and Disney had a perfect opportunity to help influence teens and counteract - rather than encourage - this trend. Then again, as Hannah herself sings, 'Everybody makes mistakes," the magazine said in its blog.
Consumer also laid out the facts that in 2006, 55 per cent of death caused by accidents occurs when people do not put their seat belt on, and kids at the age of Miley's 13 to 15 years make up 65 per cent of it.
The movie, in which Miley is starring as Hannah Montana, made it to number one in box office when it was released on February 1. It has gained more that $50 millions gross in less than two weeks.
