Auctioning for Charity, Shakira's Bra Sold for Thousands of Dollars's name proved to be enough to raise a lot of money as an Internet auction of the sexy Columbian singer's stuff was raise for a noble deed. Associated Press reported that among the highest bids offered for the singer's 40 items from her latest tour, a fan has paid over $3,000 dollars for one of the bras once used by the 31-year-old singer.

Listed on eBay Giving Works, the Roberto Cavalli's multicolored beaded and sequined bra worn by the "Hips Don't Lie" hitmaker during her 2007 Oral Fixation Tour has been sold for $3,051 dollars. Another item that allured fans to hand out thousands of dollars are front-row seats and the chance to meet the hip-shaking sensation in person at a future show in Toronto. Reportedly, a devotee to the singer forked out about $14,000 dollars for the privilege.

Further, an admirer has to pay up more than $1,000 dollars for a shiny lavender skirt with turquoise-and-coral beading wore by Shakira while singing "Hips Don't Lie". So far, the auction has raised $76,000 dollars. The cume will be higher since there are items left to be auctioned. The articles left for grabs are an electric Fender guitar and an acoustic Taylor guitar, both are signed by the star.

The auction benefiting Shakira's Bare Feet Foundation will be held until Sunday (17.02.08) and all of the proceed will be used to build a school for impoverished children in northern Colombia. On the successful charity project, the president of Auction Cause Eric Gazin expressed his excitement in a telephone interview with AP on Tuesday (12.02.08) saying, "It was a phenomenal success. We had bidders from 10 countries."
