Paris Hilton's Brother Arrested on the Same Charges as His Big Sister

Following the mistake done by Paris Hilton which landed her in jail for about 2 weeks, Barron Hilton was arrested on Tuesday (12.02.08) morning on the suspicion of driving under the influence.

Paris Hilton's 18-year-old brother really made her sister his role model as he followed the very footsteps of her older sister of landing in jail due to DUI charges. According to authorities, on Tuesday (12.02.08) at 8:30 A.M., Barron Hilton was arrested on the suspicion of drunken driving.

On the incident, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department stated that the younger brother of the was stopped after his black Mercedes-Benz was seen drifting in and out of the oncoming lane on the Pacific Coast Highway. The Sheriff's office said that a witness who called the authorities had "followed the erratic vehicle until the driver stopped...and got out of the car". The witness then had Hilton, who was traveling with a female passenger at the time, to sit on a bus bench until the authorities arrived.

Following the reading of his blood-alcohol level that indicated 0.14 percent almost twice the California's legal limit, Hilton was then booked at the LASD's Lost Hills station. Aside from being charged with DUI, the 18-year-old was also charged for carrying a falsified state document after it was discovered that his driver's license is a fake one.

Prior to his arrest, reportedly Hilton accidentally ran over a gas station worker at a 76 gas station. To PageSix, The man claimed that he was the one who called the police after being knocked over by Hilton. He said, "I was knocked to the ground. The Mercedes lost control as it was turning into the gas station and Barron got out of the car and he was totally drunk and couldn't walk straight."

After being admitted to jail, Hilton allegedly called his big sister, Paris, to bail him out, but she refused to do so reasoning that he has to learn his lesson. Eventually, Hilton was released from behind bars just after 5:45 P.M. PT on $20,000 bail. He exited the station alone through the back door. Covering his face with a jacket, he then jumped into a silver SUV. He is scheduled to appear before a judge in April.
