Lil Wayne is officially charged with felony drug and weapons charges, one count each of possession of a narcotic drug for sale, possession of dangerous drugs, misconduct involving weapons and possession of drug paraphernalia. A judges has bestowed the rapper the indictment at an arraignment on Friday, February 8.
Wayne whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr. pleaded not guilty at the arraignment but is due to be back in court on March 7 for a hearing of his status. His attorney, James Tilson, however said that the rapper will go on with the world tour that supports his upcoming release "Tha Carter III".
The rapper was busted in possession of nearly four ounces of marijuana, just over an ounce of cocaine, 41 grams of Ecstasy and miscellaneous drug paraphernalia when his tour bus was stopped and searched near Dateland, Arizona on January 22.
