Pop singer Jessica Simpson is reportedly in talks to star in another reality TV show. According to reports, the former star of MTV reality show "Newlyweds" with her former husband Nick Lachey is negotiating with Country Music Television (CMT) to make a special show chronicling the documentation of her next LP's recording.
To Us Magazine, a representative to CMT revealed that the talking is underway stating, "We have had exploratory talks with Jessica's camp, but nothing has been confirmed or signed." Further, the 27-year-old singer's father and manager, Joe, hinted that the show is in the works. He explained to Entertainment Weekly, "With Newlyweds, she let everyone into her world. Then she had to shut the world out. Now she can open it up again so people can see, here's a girl struggling with self-esteem and finding her way. Country music is about storytelling, after all."
Despite the words outed by CMT and Joe, Simpson's representative dismissed the reality show's speculation saying that there won't be any reality show for the girlfriend of Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo. To Us, the rep said, "Jessica is finishing her country album in Nashville. They're in talks with CMT for a special timed to air when the album is released, but there's no truth whatsoever to there being a reality show."
