Following her airport arrest on Wednesday (13.02.08) over the alleged shoplifting incident, Bai Ling opens up about the cause of her dubious behavior. According to E! News, the Chinese-born actress confessed that her action was caused by her recent break-up with new boyfriend.
Confessing that she had split from her boyfriend right before she was scheduled to fly to New Mexico to shoot a film, the actress said that at the moment she had to deal with the "huge problem of breaking up [before] Valentine's Day". She the shortly added that he was a "wrong boyfriend" for her.
Confirming the theory was Ling's close friend Damon Elliott. He told E! that on the day of her arrest, the actress looked to be in a wrong state of mind. "She was kind of in a mentally unstable state of mind yesterday," Elliott said "She had some relationship issues going on. She wasn't in the right frame of mind." He then added, "She was very spacey and that was pretty much what happened. She was distracted and had a lot of things going on."
