When everything seems to be getting better for Amy Winehouse, she has once again struck with bad news. This time it came from behind bars. On Sunday (17.02.08), it was reported by many that the recently Grammy-winning singer's husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, has been rushed to Pentonville Prison's hospital block after allegedly taking a drugs overdose.
The 35-year-old was rushed to the medical block after prison's guards found him violently vomiting and writhing in pain on his cell's floor. It was believed that his condition was caused by a potentially lethal combination of a drug believed to be heroin mixed with an unknown toxic substance. The spokesman of the Prison Service revealed, "A small number of prisoners were treated in health care following the consumption of an unknown substance."
Fielder-Civil's life was safe because the guards immediately activated emergency procedures to save his life. To News of the World, an inside source commented, "He's being very stupid. It's only because everyone reacted so quickly that this dodgy gear didn't do long-term harm. This was a close call, but he might not be so lucky next time. If he carries on taking so many drugs, he'll end up dead before long."
Meanwhile, there are no reports about Winehouse's reactions towards the overdose news. Last Sunday (10.02.08), the troubled British singer dedicated her Grammy to her jailed husband saying, "To my Blake, my Blake incarcerated." However, recently she was spotted to be having a very close relationship to a U.S. photographer Blake Wood after they spent times together. The two were first sparked speculation when they were seen together at a London Fashion Week party on Tuesday (12.08.02) night, then they were seen shopping together in Carnaby Street. Still, Winehouse dismissed the relationship rumor by claiming that the 'new' Blake is a homosexual.
