Rapper Eminem will unveil a part of his life to the public through his written and visual memoir "The Way I Am" which will be released on October 16. Chronicling some of Eminem's life, the book will feature never-before-seen photographs, lyric sketches, hand-drawn art, and excerpts of his journal.
According to AllHipHop.com, the 35-year-old musician will write the introduction and give a present-day narrative of the book. It will be published through Orion Books, a British publishing distributor. Ian Peerce, the editor, said that this may be one of the best books that will come out this year. "Everyone has their own take on Eminem. Because of where he is from, people think they know where he is at, what kind of person he really is. This book cuts through all that and gets to the source."
The title of the memoir is derived from his single from last effort "The Marshall Mathers LP" that has sold more that 80 million copies worldwide. This would not be the first time Eminem's life is molded into a book, there has been several books written on him, including those with his personal contributions.
Meanwhile, as revealed by buddy 50 Cent and himself later on, Eminem is working on his first studio album in three years. It is expected to be released later this year before Summer, featuring contributions from T.I., 50 and Dr. Dre.
