Bad news keeps coming in for British singer Lily Allen as she was reported to have been axed by sexy lingerie firm Agent Provocateur. Just four months afters she was chosen to be the replacer of supermodel Kate Moss back in November 2007, the 22-year-old pop singer was being let go by the underwear company.
According to The Sun, her contract has been terminated due to a tumult between the firm's bosses Joe Corre and Serena Rees who are in the process of a divorce. Reportedly, a source claimed that while Rees wanted the singer to be the brand's new face, Corre who is the creative boss of the product rejected the idea stating, "Serena loves Lily and thinks she's young and sassy. But Joe wasn't keen and canned all the pictures."
The pictures for the ad campaign in which Allen pictured in a corset and stockings with a whip have been taken earlier. Despite the dropping of Allen as the lingerie's spokesmodel, Provocateur revealed that they haven't taken any decision yet and thus insist that the pictures for which the singer undergo rigorous fitness training to trim down from size 12 to 8 may still be used for magazines editorial.
Prior to this news, Allen had experienced a miscarriage in mid January 2008. Following that, she was reported to be splitting from her boyfriend Ed Simons, The Chemical Brothers star, and to make matter even worse for the daughter of actor Keith Allen, her BBC3 show has been faced with disappointing ratings.
