Despite many eyebrows rising on the starlet's recent nude photoshoot, Dina Lohan defended her daughter saying that the pictures are art and they were "very tastefully done".
In the time when other mothers freaked out in seeing their daughters' nude pictures publicized,
Lindsay Lohan's mother gave her daughter the thumbs up for
her recent nude photos for New York magazine. According to People, Dina Lohan spoke out about her approval of the recreation of Marilyn Monroe's "The Last Sitting" saying, "It was very tastefully done".
Believing that the pictures serve as an honor for her daughter, she explained, "I respect the photographer as an artist, so I look at them artistically. For him to call Lindsay 46 years later and to say can you recreate these photos is an honor." Regarding that her daughter was pictured wearing nothing, she said that she didn't regard the pictures as those which were publicized on Playboy as it is a form of art and her daughter was portraying a character.
On whether the pictures are appropriate or not, Dina insisted that she believes that those kind of pictures are fine. She assured that saying, "Trust me. I wouldn't have sent my 14-year-old to the set [if the shoot was in bad taste]. And obviously Lindsay wouldn't do anything with her sister there, that was risque."
