The famous rapper Snoop Dogg got into trouble with the law once again as he was caught by the NYPD officers smoking marijuana. According to reports, the 36-year-old entertainer was pretty lucky this time as he managed to avoid arrest and got away with a desk appearance ticket for marijuana possession on Wednesday (20.02.08) night.
Reportedly, the rapper whose reality show "Snoop Dogg's Father Hood" is air on E! has been caught with the illegal drug outside a nightclub in Manhattan, New York. To New York Post, Dogg's lawyer Donald Etra confirmed the reports stating, "He did not get arrested. He received a ticket for possession of marijuana." Further, responding to the latest legal trouble faced by his client, the attorney said, "We are contesting the ticket."
This is not Dogg's first brush with the law. Following his arrest at Bob Hope Airport in Burbank, California back in October 2006, the rapper has been put on probation for five years after he plead no contest in April 2007 to marijuana and gun-possession charges. In March 2007, he was arrested following a concert in Sweden in March 2007 because authorities claimed that he and a woman he was with reeked of marijuana.
