For her new reality show entitled "Oprah's Big Give", the talk show queen Oprah Winfrey was reported asking the British star chef Jamie Oliver to be one of the show's judges. On the reality show scheduled to be air next weekend (01-02.03.08) in the U.S., the 32-year-old chef was given the task to decide which of the contestants to be eliminated.
According to press release, the series' executive producer Ellen Rakieten commented on the choosing of Oliver stating, "He's very funny and adorable." Meanwhile, the man known as 'The Naked Chef' revealed that this time around, he wants to give better impression to the audience unlike his embarrassing 2003's appearance.
On the incident, the father of two daughters remarked, "I was supposed to ride on to the set on my scooter, but the studio floor was really polished and I soon came off the machine. I flew into the air, landed on my chest and then slid along the floor with my arms out in some kind of Superman pose, using my chin as a brake." He further explained, "I felt a complete idiot, but the audience loved it (and) thought I did it on purpose and gave me a huge cheer."
"Oprah's Big Give" is a reality TV show in which 10 contestants from across the U.S. were given the chances to try and help people in their own unique ways with a large sum of money they were provided with. Each week each contestant will be judged based on their creativity, leadership, presentation and accomplishments by the panel of judges that include Oliver, NFL star Tony Gonzalez; and philanthropist Malaak Compton-Rock. The winner will be given the title of "The Biggest Giver" and a $1 million prize.
