Reportedly mad over the poor sales of People magazine's issue featuring her new family portraits, pop singer
Christina Aguilera has an alleged postpartum panic. According to New York Daily News, the 27-year-old singer threw a massive tantrum and eventually sacked her day-to-day manager, one of her assistants and her publicity firm BWR after hearing the bad sales news.
Further, British tabloid The Sun reported that a source revealed the outburst saying, "She went crazy and had a massive tantrum. It was astonishing. She was absolutely furious and blamed her staff for the way everything had been handled." The source then added, "She decided BWR had to go, then gave her day-to-day manager and one of her assistants their marching orders too."
On the tantrum, Daily News speculated that the mother of five-week-old Max Liron may be jealous that she only received $1.5 million for her son's pictures, which is less than the $1.7 million paid for the photos of Anna Nicole Smith's daughter Dannielynn. Aside from the speculation, the fact is that People's issue containing pictures of Aguilera and her son is believed to have sold just 1.3 million copies. It is about 100,000 copies less than average sales.
