Mischa Barton Charged With Multiple Misdemeanor Counts
Following her late December arrest, Mischa Barton has been charged with four misdemeanor counts. TMZ reported that the former "The O.C." star has been cited for driving under the influence, driving with a blood alcohol level of .08% or higher, driving without a license and possession of marijuana, as stated by Los Angeles prosecutors on Tuesday (26.02.08).

The 22-year-old actress is expected to appear before a judge in a court hearing in Beverly Hills Superior Court on Thursday (28.02.08) where she will be arraigned on the counts of DUI, drugs offenses and driving without a valid license. In January 2008, the co-star of Gemma Arterton in "St Trinian's" spoke about her arrest to Ryan Seacrest on his radio show. "Obviously, I'm 100 percent responsible for my actions in this case, and I'm really disappointed in myself. I don't know what to say about it except I'm not perfect," she admitted "I just don't ever intend to do something this stupid again."

Back on December 27, 2007, Barton was arrested at around 2:45 A.M. in West Hollywood, California after the authorities saw her car straddling two lanes of traffic and failing to signal for a turn on La Cienega Boulevard. According to TMZ, the actress who didn't have her driving license at the moment blew a .12 on her breathalyser test. She further admitted to police that she had smoked pot earlier that day. After spending seven hours behind bars, she was released on $10,000 bail.
