Heath Ledger's Priced Possession Stolen, Father Begged for It Returned

As if his sudden death is not an enough mishap, it was reported that Heath Ledger's treasured 1975 Volkswagen van was stolen around the time of his death. According to an Australian website News.com.au, Ledger's father, Kim, reported that the green Kombi was stolen to Australian police on Friday (29.02.08).
It is said that Kim has asked the police to find the vehicle and to tow it back to his home in Perth once it is found. Ledger's father reportedly found out the vehicle was stolen after he sorted out Ledger's estate in Australia and in the U.S. Further, the Australian site noted that Ledger had given the van to his long time friend for safekeeping when he sold his Bronte home in 2006 and moved to the U.S.
The van is believed to be valued at $70,000 now in regards of Ledger's fame as well as the major modifications done to it. According to PageSix.com, the Kombi was stolen on January 20, three days prior to the "Brokeback Mountain" star's overdose death. In the meantime, it was also reported that the DEA is still investigating the two U.S. doctors prescribing the actor with the powerful painkillers Oxycontin and Vicodin.
