The now famous chair in 'Sweeney Todd' allegedly belongs to David Hassellhoff after the flick's lead actor Johnny Depp gave it to him.
Johnny Depp came to
David Hasselhoff's rescue when he gave the former "Baywatch" actor a barber chair used as a property in his latest released movie, "
Sweeney Todd". Hasselhoff had his divorce from Pamela Bach finalized in December last year but he failed to reclaim some items from the house where they used to stay together.
Beside a statue of dolphin, a model elephant, baseball memorabilia and an ivory tusk, Hasselhoff used to share an antique barbers chair as a house decoration with Bach at their L.A. home. He, however, failed to reclaim the particular chair but was treated with something better.
When Depp heard about his loss, the lead actor in the fantasy flick that tells about a revenge of a barber, gave the movie prop to him. Hasselhoff reportedly is stunned by the kind gesture and does not want his old chair back. "David is just so pleased to have the matter behind him," his lawyer, Melvin S. Goldsman, said.
