Amy Winehouse Suffers From Highly-Contagious Skin Disease
raised eyebrows when she was seen sporting a dark area on the left side of her cheek on Friday, February 29. It has now been revealed that she is diagnosed with impetigo aka a highly contagious skin disease that cause pimple-like lumps.

Due to the illness, the "Rehab" singer has to scrap all of the plans she has in the few days ahead. Her spokesman confirmed the fact to People, saying "Amy has been diagnosed with impetigo, which she's been told can be highly contagious. Because of that she's been put on antibiotics and may have to stay home alone for the next few days."

According to Mayo Clinic's Website, Impetigo "is highly contagious, and scratching or touching the sores is likely to spread the infection to other parts of the body as well as to other people."

On the latest update of her condition, a pal stepped up to tell People, "She's fine. She's not hiding away. She's never been one to care what people think."
