The socialite will make a guest appearance in the NBC series, being one of the imaginations in the lead character's fevered mind.
Paris Hilton is moving on to the small screen, by nabbing a guest-starring role on NBC's TV series "My Name is Earl". The socialite who is also rumored to be featured on Lesbian hits series "L Word", will be a part of Earl's, played by
Jason Lee, dream when he is knocked unconscious.
The episode where Hilton is featured in will be called "I Won't Die with a Little Help From My Friends" and air April 3. She will appear in a dream sequence that Earl has while his mind is fevered with various things and imagination. The episode reportedly is the first material written post the writer's strike.
"When we wrote the role of Paris Hilton in the script, we weren't exactly sure who to go with for the role," said Greg Garcia, the show's executive producer. "But after an exhausting search we finally settled on a relatively unknown actress by the name of Paris Hilton. I can't wait to see what she does with the role, and I can't wait for America to discover her."
This would not be the first time Hilton is cast in a TV series. She has previously nabbed chances on "The O.C.", "Veronica Mars", "Las Vegas" and her own reality show "The Simple Life". Hilton experienced a box office flop with her recent wide-screen project "
The Hottie and the Nottie" and is due to premiere her next venture, "
Repo! The Genetic Opera" on April 25.
