Rumored earlier that he has been released from jail after serving 8 out of his 60 days penalty behind bars, it was now said that rapper The Game has not been released from the prison. According to HipHopDX.com, the Geffen Records' rapper was not being let out from Los Angeles' Twin Towers Correctional Facility, instead he was prepared to be moved to another L.A.'s facility.
The latter report has been supported by the 28-year-old hip hop artist's manager, Jimmy Rosemond who released a statement on Monday (10.03.08), dismissing the early release speculations. The manager's statement read, "Reports stating that the Game has been released from prison are false. Although he was transferred from the Twin Towers, he is not expected to be released until early April in time to promote his upcoming album L.A.X. Times. The Game and his family would like to thank his fans for their continued support."
Hours earlier, MTV reported that on Sunday (09.03.08) just before midnight, Game was released from the prison where he has been serving his scheduled 60-day sentence which stemmed from his arrest in May 2007. According to his attorney Shawn Chapman Holley, the former G-Unit member, who turned himself to the authorities on March 2, was let out because of prison's overcrowding adding, "He is now on probation and will eagerly begin his court-ordered community service."
