C-Murder is spreading his wings even wider in the literary world as he announced on Tuesday (March 11) that the latest artist to release a book under his publishing company will be Akon. The New Orleans-based rapper has signed a book deal with Akon to release the R'n'B superstar's "Thug Politics".
No details yet on what aspect "Thug Politics" will cover, but the book has been confirmed to be available in bookstores either in April or May. This would be the second release under the relatively new company by C-Murder. Last month, Jacki-O's "Grown and Gangsta" became the first official book to be launched by the company.
In coincidence to the book releases, Akon, C-Murder as well as Jacki-O will conduct a literary campaign that not only serve as the media to promote their books but also encourage literacy among children and teens.
C-Murder, who joins Hip-Hop group TRU, himself is an author who has release a novel called "Death Around the Corner" in 2006. According to AllHipHop.com, the book has been sold around 70,000 copies independently.
