Celebrating her 18th birthday back in late 2007, the 'Tatoo' singer had her brother's initial name and her favorite bible verse etched on her skins.
Jordin Sparks had her own way to celebrate her birthday. In her 18th birthday, on December 22, 2007, she decided to get tattoos. The "Tattoo" singer determined to permanently engrave her brother's initial name, Phillippi Sparks Jr., on her bare skin. Another tattoo etched on her is a bible verse "Timothy 4:12".
The initial 'PJ' had been tattooed on her left ear, while her favorite bible verse was inscribed on her wrist. Talking about her reason in choosing the tattoos, she explained that she wanted her brother's initial name to be tattooed on her because she really misses him. Her favorite bible verse, on the other hand, was chosen because she think that the verse is very important for her.
Sparks explained that her brother, who is two years younger than her, has made her realized how much she took her relationship with him. The Idol winner also said she likes the verse which read, "Don't let anyone look down on you because you're young, and instead set an example in life, faith, speech and purity." That's why she tattooed it on her as a reminder.
Sparks is the sixth season winner of American Idol competition. Before joining American Idol, the singer of "No Air" had been one of two winners who won Phoenix Torrid search Arizona Idol. She had also once competed in Arizona Idol, in which she was the winner too.
