Battling Cancer, Patrick Swayze Still SmokingBattling pancreatic cancer does not make Patrick Swayze stop smoking. Exclusive pictures taken by The National Enquirer showed that the "Dirty Dancing" star still can't get red of the bad habit. The star was photographed when he was leaving Stanford University Hospital in California for his chemotherapy session with a cigarette in his mouth.

The photographs were firstly emerged in the British media on Friday, March14, 2008. They are the first photos of Swayze since he was being diagnosed with the illness. Portrayed in the photographs, the star looked pale and thinner as he boarded his private plane with his wife at San Carlos Airport to take him home.

A source said, as reported by Celebritywonder.com, that Patrick has continued to smoke even though those closest to him have begged him to stop. His mother, Patsy Swayze, has also revealed that his son is determined to beat it. The 81-year-old lady, who is also known as a former Hollywood dance choreographer, said, "Patrick doesn't deserve to get this. He just doesn't deserve it. He's got such a big heart. He's been such a good and generous and thoughtful person."

Swayze has been a 60-a-day smoker for years. However, Swayze's brother Don denies he smokes three packets a day. In late January, 2008, Lisa Niemi's husband was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. To survive, the co-star of in "Ghost" has been undergoing chemotherapy and other treatments at the Stanford University Medical Center.
