Shia LaBeouf once again got into trouble with his run-in with the law. This time, reports claimed that the star of "Transformers" was facing a more serious problem as an arrest warrant for him has been issued on Tuesday (18.03.08) by the authorities.
According to TMZ, the $1,000 bench warrant has been issued because the 21-year-old actor failed to show up at his scheduled court hearing on March 18 at 8:30 A.M. which stemming from his February 2008 misdemeanor charge. On the warrant, a spokeswoman for Burbank Superior Court explained, "A bench warrant is to be issued because he didn't show up. It hasn't actually been issued yet, but that's what the judge has said. Mr. LaBeouf will either have to turn up to court or have an attorney appear on his behalf. This could happen at any time."
The former Disney's star had reportedly been cited with a ticket for unlawful smoking in Burbank, California sometime in February. Allegedly, the co-star of Harrison Ford in "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of Skull" star was said to be puffing away on a non-smoking area on the sidewalk outside a gift shop, Skyblupink, when the police spotted him. "I can confirm that Shia LaBeouf was given a ticket on February 18 this year," revealed a police spokesman. "He was standing on the 300 block of North San Fernando. There is a no smoking ordinance in certain parts of Burbank, and this area is one of them."
Prior to this problem with the law, LaBeouf has just been cleared from his other misdemeanor charges. On December 12, 2007, the rising actor has been freed from criminal charges put against him following his November 4 arrest. The arrest was made because he who was at the time of the arrest seemed to be under the influence refused to leave a Walgreens drugstore in Chicago.
