Britney Spears' 'How I Met' Wardrobe to Be Auctioned for Charity' appearance on "How I Met Your Mother" will benefit not only her career but also the environment. Reportedly, the star's wardrobe worn in the show will be auctioned for charity. The auction is held to benefit the Natural Resources Defense Council which is known as an environmental organization.

According to the Associated Press, the wardrobe will be sold at a week-long online auction starting on Monday night, March 24, 2008. There are at least six items that will be put up for sale, including a navy print Juicy Couture dress, a yellow Nannette Lepore dress and a cream Nannette Lepore cardigan with blue flower details. Producers of the show, CBS and the 20th Century Fox Television, were reported to be sponsoring the sale.

On "How I Met Your Mother", which is known as an American situation comedy created by Craig Thomas and Carter Bays for CBS Broadcasting, the pop star landed herself as a guest role. She plays as a receptionist who falls for the show's main character, Ted Mosby. On the show, which has been aired on March 24, her character is described as a sweet, friendly and scattered person.

Previously, according to the New York Daily News, Spears has also made a guest appearance on an episode of "Will & Grace". She played a conservative Christian who happens to also be a hardcore lesbian named Amber Louise. Her episode has been aired on March 30, 2006 entitled "Buy, Buy, Baby".
